In Chapter 5 of Winnie-the-Pooh, Eeyore is feeling down because he's lost his tail. Pooh, always eager to help his friends, sets out to find it. He visits Owl’s house for advice, and Owl suggests that Pooh look around for something familiar. Outside Owl’s house, Pooh spots a bell-rope, which reminds him of Eeyore’s tail. After some thinking, Pooh realizes that the bell-rope is the missing tail.
Pooh quickly takes the bell-rope back to Eeyore, who is still feeling sad. With Christopher Robin’s help, they attach the tail back onto Eeyore, and he is finally reunited with it. Pooh feels proud of himself for solving the problem and helping his friend, and Eeyore, though still a bit gloomy, is grateful to have his tail back.
