Verity [Chapter 1]
Lowen, the main character, just became a witness for a car accident. She cannot move or think right after a man got killed by the car in front of her. His blood is on her shirt. While she was frozen by the accident, a man named Jeremy appeared and helped her out. He led her to a coffee shop's washroom and gave her his shirt since her shirt is almost red by the blood. She was curious why he helped her out. He was in a real estate and lost his daughter 5 months ago. She also lost her mother a month ago, but she cannot say anything because his lost is worst than her lost. She keeps thinking him with curiosity.
