It's entirely my subjective opinion, but nowadays it seems that people don't put in the time and effort to date anymore. Watching Sally and Noah's email pen pal relationship reminded me why I liked 18th-century classic romance novels. They put their hearts into their writing and share all their personal stories, making it impossible not to develop feelings. Since it's not a conversation but an exchange of emails, many good quotes come up, and as I read, I learn something from them. Noah seems to have a personality similar to mine. He tried a funny question to her, and when Sally takes a while to respond (because she has a lot to write back), he sends another email apologizing just in case his previous comment was inappropriate. It's cute and makes me a bit jealous. I wish I could experience moments like these too.
